2010 Grazer Services Used C Projects Services Managed Mechanical
Value of Assets $100 Million Project Requirements Curtin University recently completed $100 million B500 building to house Curtin University Chemistry School. It was delivered with traditional Operations and Maintenance Manuals in four ring folders. This state-of-the-art building needed to manage and maintain its complex laboratory facility but found the standard and format of the O&M knowledge unworkable and presented major risk management issues to the Facility Management team. What was required was a better solution to manage the facility and its O&M knowledge to ensure it would meet all compliance frameworks so the FM team could administer the property to meet all requirements. Grazer’s Solution Grazer consulted with the B500 Facility Management team to design and develop a project strategy to collate all available O&M knowledge and provide a detailed audit report of the status of the O&M knowledge and further required information. As a result Grazer was engaged to provide C Projects, a web based O&M knowledge collation service, to collate and manage the collection of all existing O&M data. Grazer will utilise C Rapid to configure the O&M data once all of the data has been loaded, and then import this data into C Suite for the ongoing knowledge and asset management services. Project Outcomes This project is still in progress and running to plan. Curtin University has now specified C Projects as the O&M management services for all new construction projects being undertaken by the University. Grazer has provided training and continued consultancy throughout the project and Curtin University is now planning to adopt Grazer for the management of all of its existing built assets. In addition, Grazer is consulting with the in- house IT team who manages their Achibus ERP solution to develop an integration service so Grazer may provide a graphical navigation solution for data held within the Archibus database. Project Review The Grazer project has met the expectations of the project partners and strong support for the solution has been experienced at all levels of the organisation.

C Projects Client Login What the client says... “The reason the industry is so slow to change is that facility and asset managers are not involved or consulted during the design and construction stage of projects. Little consideration is given to how the assets will be managed for its full life cycle and therefore the best tools for the job are not developed and specified.” David Bishop, Facility Manager Curtin University
