The companies have joined forces to alleviate a common source of frustration and delays at the end of construction projects: the handover of quality operation and maintenance manuals to the asset owner.
ISIS Pty Ltd

Major Project Conferences
Over the past months Grazer and Aconex supported the South Australian, New South Wales and Victorian conferences and presented the "O&M Handover Revolution".
The construction industry has long recognised that access to timely and accurate information is essential to successfully building and managing an asset. The speed with which information is collected, reviewed, shared and retrieved is critical to safeguard builders and asset owners from significant risks such as delays, disputes and high cost of operation. As a consequence, industry specific software has replaced paper in almost all modern construction projects.
However, there has lacked a smooth transition of knowledge from the construction phase into the operational phase. This disconnect means that the handover process is now one of the last bastions of paper where O&M manuals are still manually collated, reviewed and delivered to Facility Managers in sets of ring binders as they did 50 years ago.
This approach is now in transition thanks to the alignment of the information technologies used in construction and asset management. This industry wide shift will see facility managers receive their O&M Manuals in electronic formats, as specified, directly from the construction phase. Data will be stored safely, retrieved quickly and distributed easily to deliver more efficient asset management, resulting in lower costs of operations, improved asset valuations and limiting the risk of knowledge loss over time.
Grazer Pty Ltd have pioneered digital asset knowledge management for the past decade and will present the latest in graphical knowledge management services in conjunction with their alliance partners Aconex Limited, Australia’s leading online collaboration provider for construction and engineering projects.
Illustrated with a case study of how SA Health tackled this challenge, you will discover:
- How you can avoid costly delays at handover by progressive O&M data collection and approval
- Reduce facility management risk by having higher quality, more accessible information
