Grazer Questions & Answers Q: What makes Grazer's products unique? Grazer uses a Graphical interface to manage information on your assets. Rather than remembering asset numbers and asset identifiers, users can drill down on graphical information such as drawings, floor plans, schematics etc to interrogate a broad range of operations and maintenance related information.Q: Does the asset data need to be stored in the Grazer database? No. Grazer is designed to either aggregate knowledge or navigate knowledge regardless of where it is stored, therefore the data may be stored within the Grazer database or on various directories and servers, remote websites and even in Third party systems.Q: Can I reference information stored in other software programs and systems? Yes. Grazer has a suite of Middleware (C Data) solutions which enable integrations to many of the leading Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Electronic Document Management (EDMS) solutions. To achieve the integrations there is a need to license the C Data solution from Grazer and engage specialist system integrators to create the data links to your required systems. Q: What are the technologies behind Grazer? Grazer C Projects is a fully hosted web-based application that can be accessed by most industry standard web browsers. The Grazer C Suite is built on a MS.Net framework and is written in C#, it also utilises a SQLite database. Q: How is the software installed? Grazer C Suite is installed on the client's server and configured to provide access to users via LAN and WAN technologies. Q: How do we justify the investment in the Grazer system? The Grazer C Suite provides significant productivity enhancements by making it easier and faster to locate knowledge and to take action. Our clients have found they easily offset the investment in Grazer through reductions in downtime, maintenance costs, wages, rework and costs associated with management of risks and liabilities. Grazer can assist its clients to perform a "Cost Benefit Analysis" to help identify the savings possible to your organisation. Q: Will Grazer reduce my operational expenses? Yes. Grazer clients report that they have reduced operational expenses having locate their information more efficiently and take appropriate action as required. Many clients report that their investment in Grazer is returned within months of adopting the system. Q: Why not use printed O&M manuals as we always have? The benefits of capturing O&M knowledge digitally are many. During construction it can reduce delays, makes it easier to compile and approve documentation ensuring a complete delivery of the O&M data at practical completion. Printed O&M data commonly goes missing through human actions (e.g. borrowing and returning to the wrong spot) and increasingly through other events such as storm damage and floods. Most professional Facility Managers are now demanding digitised O&M asset knowledge as part of their project deliverables, to reduce the additional risks and liabilites inherint with printed O&M manuals increasing their operating efficiencies. Q: Will this help with my compliance obligations? Yes. Grazer is being used by many public and corporate facilities to ensure their safety and compliance obligations are managed properly. Ask Grazer how we can assist in managing your compliance requirments, including Green Star certification. Q: Can I report on my completed and outstanding maintenance? Yes. Grazer can provide a fully configured Preventative Maintenance Scheduler which can control maintenance requirements for your newly built asset. Alternatively Grazer can link into other Third party systems to create defect notices or display maintenance information. Q: What are the key reports that I can generate from the system? The Grazer Suite is focused on the management and maintenance of the installed assets and provides a suite of services to meet these requirements. Standard reports include:
